Chapter 8: Lords and Ladies Let There Be Light
Chapter 8: Lords and Ladies Let There Be Light
Many philosophers, psychologists have pondered the ancient concepts of Gods, Goddesses, and the one source of creation. Some theologians view these deities as Archetypes representing different aspects of our realities. In books such as the Book of Enoch, the divine beings are Powers, Principalities, Archangels, and the fallen ones each in charge of a different aspect of creation or destruction. Some Gods and Goddesses represent emotion such as love, lust, desire, and calm. Beliefs have solidified their identity and over centuries, these beings have taken form. They wait for the opportunity to be recognized and for this recognition an opportunity to pass on strength, knowledge, and wisdom.
I am not stating here that you are joining a religion, cult, or following. The course of this chapter is to provide a way to find spirit guides, allies, and inner guidance. If a Christian were reading this book, working with Jesus and the Holy Spirit would suffice. This book is a supplement to your own beliefs. There are many books on deities and their attributes already available. Therefore, I will not list in this book the names and attributes of each but will provide reference in the book referral page in the back of this book.
To build trust with these deities often they will require a sacrifice of sort. When I say sacrifice I do not many killing anything. The sacrifice is an exchange to build trust. For example, in order to receive guidance, the diety might require you to quite drinking sodas. It is a test as well as a sacrifice to see if the individual can honor the agreement. If the individual fails then the agreement is broken and the diety will often leave. With that said some deities require a commitment. With any guide, you are building a small relationship with, as the relationship grows stronger, so will the connection. Many churches require offerings through money as a small sacrifice or tithing. My experience the Divine will not reprimand you if you fail in giving up something. A positive example of my personal experience was I once had hives on my legs and arms. I went to see a doctor who gave me a prescription but it didn’t work. I prayed and the Incan deity Inti responded stating if I quit sodas, he would heal me. I did and the next day, the hives were gone. I have not consumed sodas since then.
Ode To The Goddess Ereshkigal:
Behold…
I am the warpath upon your fears
I am the riddle that must be solved
I am the flame of desire
My fire burns away what is so that you may be transformed
I am the rising and setting storm of life
All who follow and know me shall perish but be reborn
Do not fear me for I have been with you since the beginning and will be with you at the end.
Let your heart be true traveling through my world, and the glory of life shall be yours for eternity.

Out on the astral and higher planes there are more than just Deities but thought forms and creatures of old such as Dragon and Fairies or known as the wee folk. Dragons are great allies, but you must approach them morally and honorably. When you see one do not fear it but be respectful. If attacked remember this is your world, reach out your hand and calm the being. Once you do this, often the being will flee because it realizes you have power over it. In addition, are the spirits of our ancestors. At certain periods of the year such as Samhain/Halloween or Day of the Dead, the veils between the underworld and our world are thin and access to these ancestors is very easy.
So why is all of this information important? By now after reading the previous chapters, I hope you have come to a point of realization that this journey is about self-exploration as well as bringing the self to its greatest potential energetically and spiritually. To spiritual journey on the planes, you need allies in your inner world including the higher planes to offer experience and from that experience wisdom. These allies will often be divine beings, but some of the greater inner power of an individual is within the shadows of the unconscious. Inner demons, shadows, and dark beings harbor this power often using it against you. The thing to note is a majority if not all you see of the dark beings are parts of the individual; such as bad habits, fears, and unresolved past trauma.
When journeying and encountering your shadows/demons, it can be quite frightening as well as daunting to know that we have the potential to be those monsters. Having allies by your side will offer strength and reassurance. To overcome the inner shadows the individual will need to bring them into the light (awakened thought) to transform them as helpers rather than a hinderer. When you bring shadow into the light, you will need to accept what it is. Acknowledgment is the first part of transforming it. All shadow is, is an energetic personal pattern woven from past or present trauma or unknowns. Some forms of shadows are doubt, sadness, depression, jealousy, anger. The second part of transforming shadow is making terms with it. If the shadow form is a fear of darkness; ask yourself, why are you afraid of darkness? Then make steps in your physical life such as going in your bathroom and shutting out the lights. You can do it once or twice with someone but try to build yourself into doing it yourself. Once you overcome that fear, that shadow is now a helper along with your other allies. By transforming your shadows to their highest potential, you make angels out of demons, and where they were to destroy, they will create.
Once you have taken a time to explore your inner world, the next step is to create the sacred island. This place is a bridge between the world that is yours and the higher planes where you can meet allies. The island is round in nature and has two temples upon its surface. One is for the feminine aspect of the Divine, in pagan terms the Goddess. The second is for the masculine aspect of the Divine, which is the God. The island is also in adjacent to your inner temple a seat of power. To have both aspects of the divine on your island helps balance both the Yin and Yang energies. The first mediation provided will create the island that is a safe haven between all worlds. The second meditation you will meet the spirit guides you wish to work with.

Close your eyes and see a door before you with a silvery handle. Open and the door and walk into the room. (Pause) You are now in your inner temple. Look around the room to make sure everything is in order. Open the windows to let the light in if needed. (Pause) Turn towards the door you just walked through. Your animal allies should be in your room. If not, call out to them. (Pause) Turn towards the door you just walked through. You noticed the door had changed. The handle of the door is gold, and the door itself is large and round.
When ready walk towards the door and open it. (Pause) You see the light of day pouring through. Step out into what appears to be a green lawn. The lawn stretches out along a coast- line what appears to be an endless ocean. (Pause) Turn around and face the door. The round door appears molded into a hillside. Shut the door and turn to your left and then to your right. (Pause) Observe how large your island is. Walk from your door and climb the small hillside. (Pause) You are now high enough you can see most angles of your island. When ready hold your hands in the air and say these words: This is a place that is not a place, a time that is not a time, a realm between here and the land of the mighty ones, as a sacred space, so shall it be. (Pause)
A bluish light illuminates the coast surrounding your island and slowly rises to the sky. Now your island has a shield, say these words: I bless this place in the name of the divine with the elements earth, fire, air, and water. (Pause) Now look down the hill about fifty yards in front of the door. A stone circle appears with five to six columns. In the middle, you notice a circular fire pit with a fire roaring. Next to the fire pit is a large bowl full of water. Hanging off the columns are metal incense burners where thick incense is pouring out. Vines are wrapped around the stone columns. (Pause)
Turn to your left, on the left side of the island you see a large structure made of various materials. A light permeates within its doors. (Pause) Now look to the right, on the right side of the island you see a large structure made of various materials. A light permeates within its doors. (Pause) Take a moment to look around your island. Do you see anything else? (Pause) Know you have now created a safe-haven island between all worlds and have welcomed the divine upon its shores. You may return here anytime to explore as well as connect with those on other planes. As this is now yours, only those you invite may enter your island. When ready walk down the hillside, open the round door and walk into your inner temple. (Pause) You noticed the door is now on the opposite wall from the silver handled door. Shut the door behind you. When ready open your eyes.
Meditation Closing:

Drawing of Island:
- Meet Spirit Guides Prep
- First do some research on whom you would like as a guide. If you want to see who would come you do not have to have one picked out. Often those you need help from will appear. I call this divine intervention.
- Make sure you have explored your island and each of the structures prior to proceeding with this. You can visually recreate the structures you see or make additions. Remember to notate the changes in your journal entry.
- Unplug or turn off your phone and make sure you will not be disturbed.
- Cast a sacred space or circle around you. (See pre-requisite)
- Cleanse the circle with earth, air, fire and water….and smudge stick (white sage or copal)
- Have the speaker guide sit outside of the circle while you are safely within it pause at specific moments
- Have speaker light additional candles outside of your circle to brighten room
What to expect:
- You might see anyone the first time around but if not, continue to try.
- They might ask for something in exchange for working with you, if you do not agree, think of something you can give up, such as fast food for a week or something of that nature. It is ok to say no.
- If you do these meditations and have bad experiences, set this book aside for a few weeks to gather your-self to figure out what is the issue. It could be something you are working through such as fears and emotions but to be safe if needed, seek a counselor.
- After completion, where you travel in your inner world not only will your animal allies assist you but a Deity/Deities as well. All you will have to do is call out to them before going to join you on your journey. If the friendship built is strong, the Divine will come at once.

Sit comfortably and close your eyes. You see before you a door with a silvery handle. Step forward and open the door, and walk in. You are now in your inner temple. (Pause) Make sure your room is in order. (Pause) You notice on the other side of the room is a large round door with a gold handle. You know this will take you to your sacred island. When ready open the door to your island and walk through. (Pause) As you step through the door, you notice the sky is clear but slowly getting dark. You have made it to your island at an auspicious time, dusk. As you look to your left and right you see light is still coming from both of the structures on your island. (Pause) As you look ahead, you notice the circular fire pit within the ancient stone columns is roaring. Walk towards the fire pit and stand along the side of the pit. As you look down, you realize the stone circular fire pit is within a stone triangle which each angle represents the three worlds: Physical, Mental, and Spiritual. (Pause) Reach into your pocket you will feel an object that is cold to the touch. As you take the object out, you see before you a crystal. Without thought, toss the crystal into the fire. The fire erupts higher than before. (Pause)
You see now incense is bellowing all around you. Hold up your hands in the air and say these words aloud: “I call to the (guide chosen), great divine being. I (your name) call to you to join me in this sacred place please bring your knowledge, wisdom and strength, hail and welcome.” (Pause)
If you see them, within your thoughts, ask them how you wish them to help you. (Pause) Also, ask if the Divine being if he or she has a new name for you. This will be a personal name only shared between you two. (Pause) Offer one of your structures to the divine being for him or her to rest in. The structure, temple, will be a place you two will meet on the island. If accepted, take time speaking with your new guide to see if he or she has any special messages. (Pause)
Now when ready say these words: Thank you great divine being (name), I (your new name) thank you for your guidance and friendship. May our friendship blossom on this journey ahead. Hail and Farewell !!!
When ready, turn and walk towards your round door at the hillside. (Pause) Gently open the door and walk into your inner temple. You will see your animal allies in your room. (Pause) The room glows with a golden and silvery light. A sign you have welcomed the divine into your world. When ready say goodbye to your allies and open your eyes.
